The Aether mod was originally discontinued and development continued with The Aether II, however the mod was ported to Minecraft 1.7.10 and 1.12.2 in 2018 by Modding Legacy as The Aether: Legacy or Aether Legacy. The Aether has an official successor, called Aether II.
The Aether contains various new mobs and dungeons with powerful loot.
